The Salon 1861 is a full-service venue suitable for a variety of events, including gala dinners, opulent cocktail parties, theatrical performances, awards banquets, product launches, fundraisers, trade shows, wedding receptions, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and other private or corporate gatherings.

Located in the former and now refurbished St. Joseph’s Church, built in 1861, the Salon offers an historical setting that has been the beautiful backdrop of some of Montréal’s most elite events, from intimate private dinners for 25 people, to memorable sit down meals for 650 guests, to outstanding galas with 1000 invitees.

The Salon 1861 is fully equipped with the latest architectural lighting systems, high fidelity sound reinforcement, a large fully furnished catering kitchen, and optional event furnishings, making it a truly turnkey venue.
