Popular among patrons of the arts and business professionals, Le Blumenthal is a modern brasserie located in the Maison du Festival. Generously flavourful and wonderfully simple, the menu highlights fresh, local produce in a classy urban setting.
Boasting a large terrasse, high ceilings and walls of windows, Le Blumenthal offers patrons a wonderful vantage of the Place des Festivals while they delight in Chef Rémi Brunelle’s unpretentious, yet sophisticated creations.
Plates showcase generous helpings of uncomplicated fare made with fresh, local ingredients. In addition to many veggie-friendly options, the menu features a variety of meat and fish dishes, including sea bream with cauliflower purée, an oh-so-cheesy burger and succulent grilled half Cornish hen.
The building itself is worth mentioning: built in 1910 in the Chicago School style, it was once home to the Blumenthal and Sons men’s clothing store (hence the moniker) and is now listed on the Canadian Heritage Registry.
Important to note: Le Blumenthal is a non-profit restaurant, with all proceeds going towards financing free events at the Maison du Festival.
Ideal for after-work drinks, Sunday brunch, a pre- or post-show supper or nibbles while basking in the sunset, Le Blumenthal is a go-to place in the Quartier des Spectacles!
