Dating from 1976, the Olympic Basin welcomes rowing, canoeing, and dragon boat sports groups in addition to hosting high-level championships and competitions. With its calm waters and facilities unique to North America, the Basin is much admired by rowing sports enthusiasts. Features and services: Stands can accommodate 5,000 people, Albano system (lanes with buoys), 5 towers (start, finish, and 3 intermediate), stage for medal ceremonies, communication system, support facilities, hangars. Basin dimensions: 2.18 km long, 110 m wide and 2.3 m deep.
